I have a proheat carpet cleaner model 3 7901. The problem is the brush on the bottom of the machine plus the two end parts and the belt came out. I put everything back but they popped out, they are not staying in place. What am i doing wrong or what do i have to take out to get everything in place correctly?Hi121. You’ll need to follow this procedure to assemble your unit back together.0150122. Make sure the foot pedal is in the proper position.0150123.
The SmartMix should be properly loaded into the main. I have a Bissell Steam Cleaner that is not sucking up the water when cleaning. I used a full container of water and when it was empty I emptied out the water, only to find very little dirty water in it. I noticed the window, as i used it, seemed like it wasnt sucking up the water. I took the plastic cover off to clean it (it didnt look very dirty in the first place), an i noticed that the grey plastic flap was on but not moving up or down. I thought there may be dirt in it that prevented it from.
Replaces the belt on dirt devil dynamite pluse model put everything back together started it and it burt the new belt up that fast. I put it around the beater brush and the metal bar I thought it should go around, yet it seemed like there should be something else there to put the belt on. What do you suggest?
Do you have picture I could go by?The metal bar you put it around if the bar itself does not spin it is going to burn the belt up. Every thing that the belt is supposed to go around has to turn or the belt will rub on the piece not moving and brake. Can't reassemble!!!
Long story as short as possible- I removed the hood from my Bissell 1699 and can't seem to get it back on correctly. The 'Smart Mix' knob and it's parts seems to be the problem.
How does this line-up, or what is the best way to put it all back together? Thanks, JoshThe piston is put on the bottom of the smart mix knob, turn the knob to the water only setting, then put the top housing back in place making sure that the piston went into the slot, after the top is all of the way down, turn the knob, if it turns ea.
I have a Eureka 5902AVZ and the brushroll does not work. When i remove the belt, which is not torn nor worn out, the motor spins perfectly fine. Though when i put the brushroll back into place, it shows that the motor is trying to spin, but with resistance.
It seems the brushroll will not spin if locked into place, because there is no attachment on the left side of the brushroll that will allow it to spin freely with the belt. Am I missing some parts or is there something else wrong?Hi and welcome to Fixya. 12You have correctly identified the problem as the brush roll itself.
12There is a bearing under each end cap of the brush roll. You can gain access to the. I was replacing the belt on my Eureka Smartvac 4870 and one of the felt gaskets (or part of it) popped out. I thought I put it in correctly, but the first I used it after replacing the belt, the gasket got mangled by the brush. I'm wondering how important it is to get fixed; is it a part I can pick up anywhere and fix myself? Thanks for the help.I'm no expert but if you mean the felt on the roller, you have to replace the roller (expensive, esp.
For such a minor part). I found some felt with adhesive in the craft section at Wal-Mart, trimmed it to fit and done deal.
Felt reduces friction. No suction I have the central vac type. It has no suction at the can. I pulled the hose going to the walls and tested there.and nothing. I removed the dirt can and checked the motor.it is spinning but does not feel like any suction. I checked the exhaust and it is pushing strong air out. I also cleaned the filter and still nothing.
Is there a relay or something that would cause only exhaust air. I emptied the can of dirt and put it back together and have absolutely no air.hear the motorOn some units there is a screen that protects the impeller of the motor. If this gets sealed off with debris then it is like putting a potato in the tail pipe of a car.
Taking the top off the unit reveals the motor. DO UN-PLUG the unit first from th.
My 88 year old mother bought a Dirt Devel DHC001 - has been used twice but it looks blocked and has no suction but there is suction at the pipe end if I take it off. I have opened the red end and emptied out but there seems to be dust in the rear part and I have no idea how to get it out. The shop she bought it off thought they were being helpful and removed all packaging but seem to have taken instructions as well.To answer this properly, I am going to need the actual model number on the bottom of the unit on the silver/metallic sticker. Usually MO###### If you can get that I can help you out further. I am working on a u5290-900 hover vacuum, when operating dust leaks out under dirt cup cover. I put a piece of card board on top of cover so extra presure would be applied to the top of cover.
This seams to have stoped the leak, before adding the card board the cover seamed to lift at the back when cover was locked into place. What do you think?Dear Sir:Will be better idea to replace the cup cover. The pice of card will not function for a long time. Proceed before another extra problem coming.God bless you. I have a Panasonic MCE6003 vacuum cleaner.
I regretfully leant it to a neighbour and it came back full of dog hair and keeps cutting out. I cleaned out the dust container and the main filter but it still kept cutting out after 5 minutes. I decided to unscrew the part with the motor and wash the filter inside. It was all going well until a large rubber washer bit, a piece that looks like the thermostat and a little white button attached to two black wires fell out and now I have no idea how to put. I have a Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum - Purple, and it worked just fine. I emptied the canister (like always) and put it back in place. I turned on the vacuum to it immediately shutting down (motor) and only the lights come on. There is no movement/noise/suction at all!
Any suggestions? I have tried everything. I have no idea why it did this.Make sure that something didn't fall into the fan assembly in the base when the canister was removed.

The motor should have an overload reset switch. Try moving the motor manually (power plug out) to make sure that it isn't bound up. I have a Dirt Devil Vision and when I put a clean canister back in place the suction at the bottom of the filter clogs up and very rarely go into the canister. Also where the air blows out of the motor, I will get particals that will blow out. I have checked where the belt is and also the suction tube.

Do you have any ideas how to fix this problem?Yes your intake hose is clogged thats the clear hose you can see it on the bottom from the back.disconnect the upper hose from your intake hose and try to push a coat hanger through with the end of the coat hangers end bent till its rounded so you do.
